That said, it is a small, slim insulin pen cooler and not every pen will fit. Its internal chamber measures 2.4 cm in diameter and 17.4 cm in length.

It couldn't be simpler. Freeze the included Biogel Cold Pack for a minimum of 6 hours before use. Before inserting it, submerge it in lukewarm water for 30–60 seconds to bring its surface temperature to a safe level and avoid direct contact with insulin at below-freezing temperatures. Dry it gently, place it in the Rambler alongside your injection pen, close the lid and you're done — no buttons, no cables, no settings. The whole process takes under a minute, and your insulin pen cooler is ready for up to 16 hours of cooling.

No — the Rambler works entirely through passive cooling using the included Biogel Cold Pack. No electricity, no USB connection, no charging required whatsoever.

Without a properly frozen Biogel Cold Pack, the Rambler Insulin Pen Cooler will not perform reliably — at least 6 hours of freezing are required before use. In an emergency, 3–4 hours will give partial performance, but for the full 16 hours of cooling, always aim for 6 hours or more.

Our tip: keep the Biogel Cold Pack permanently in the freezer so it's always ready when you need it — one less thing to think about.

The Biogel Cold Packs included with our insulin pen coolers are designed to last indefinitely with regular use — there is no fixed lifespan and they do not degrade with repeated freeze-thaw cycles. As long as the pack remains intact with no signs of physical damage, leaking or unusual changes in texture, it will continue to perform as expected.
